Ozanam House is a grand Georgian building located on Mountjoy Square in Dublin North Inner City. It is run by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and has been used for a wide variety of purposes over the past 80 years. The building was renovated and redesigned for use as a community centre with childcare facilities, and it was officially opened by An Taoiseach in 2002.
Since its re-opening, we developed a range of services for the local community. Over the years we have continued to develop a variety of programmes including Adult Education, Youth Programmes, Community Programmes and Childcare services. Ozanam House Resource Centre has 448 members using the service each week! Our youngest member is 2 yrs old and the eldest is 93 years of age.
All of this is made possible through the dedication of our staff and the 85 active volunteer members who work in the centre each week, doing everything from teaching classes to facilitating activities and acting as mentors in the youth group.
