Last term in our DIY class we enjoyed teaching a great bunch of people the basics of DIY.  Katherine our tutor and Alan our in house caretaker started off with patching, which is basically filling in holes, cracks and smoothing it off when it dries.  The class learned the best techniques for painting and how to get that fine smooth finish.

We then taught the class the steps to tiling, from measuring to placing a tile on a wall and finally grouting

We also learned basic electrics, this was very useful for everyone to know for everyday use.  We learned how to change a plug to simply changing a light bulb.  The class shared and learned many DIY tips throughout the course.
