We have had news of a Santa’s Sleigh sighting over Mountjoy Square! Even the little elves have appeared out of nowhere! Be aware of the special one with an extra creepy laugh!
Here at Ozanam House, Santa’s elves have been hard at work getting the house ready and toys all wrapped up for the boys and girls in our clubs, for Santa’s visit. This has to be one of the best parts of the year, seeing all the amazed faces of children who truly believe in Christmas Magic.
While the younger groups have been busy visiting Santa and trying to figure out how he visits each household in one night, our older teens sat down for a very formal Christmas Dinner in the Georgian house. Reflecting on our relationships and how fortunate we are to be able to come together with a group of friends and celebrate Christmas. The teens in our oldest group have grown and matured into fantastic young people who contribute and want to support their community.
On our last day of the youth groups, our younger group went to see Beauty and the Beast, thanks to Streetline and Phoenix School of Performing Arts. This was a beautiful evening enjoyed by the children in our groups.
When all is said and done for this year, we have had an amazing time, making friends, unforgettable memories and bringing so much fun and happiness to the children and young people in our services. All with the help and support of our community in North Inner City Dublin and our amazing volunteers.
From all of us in Ozanam Youth Groups we wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and hope to see you in the New Year.
