Bloom & Connect: Greening our Community

Ozanam House has launched a crowdfunding project with the goal of transforming our community centre into a greener space — featuring indoor plants and a peaceful outdoor garden. This initiative will bring beauty, wellness, and biodiversity to our vibrant centre.

🌷 Indoor plants will improve air quality and atmosphere across our rooms, while the outdoor garden will serve as a tranquil retreat and a place for hands-on gardening. For those without personal green space, it offers a chance to connect with nature.

🌵 We’ll source plants, planters, tools, and decorative items through local suppliers and donations, focusing on sustainability and community collaboration. Members will be directly involved in planting and maintaining the spaces.

🌳 Any remaining funds will support biodiversity. Together, we’ll grow a space of beauty, belonging, and well-being.

Remembrance Mass 2025

The Vincentian Community and Ozanam House invite you, your family and friends to join with us for our Annual Mass of Remembrance when we call to mind our loved ones who have died during the past year. Friday 7th February 2025 at 1.00pm at Ozanam House in the Hall.

Centre Closed 24th January Due to RED WIND WARNING

Due to a Met Eireann RED Weather Warning, Ozanam House will be closed ALL DAY on Friday 24th of January.

Normal service will be resumed from Saturday.

ARG Visit to Farmleigh House October 2024

The ARG went on day trip to Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park and viewed in the magnificent house and grounds.

Home to the Guinness family for generations, Farmleigh remains a unique representation of its heyday, the Edwardian period, and houses important artworks and furnishings, as well as the Benjamin Iveagh collection of rare books, bindings, and manuscripts which is held in the Library. The extensive pleasure grounds feature walled and sunken gardens and scenic lakeside walks, tastefully influenced by the Guinness family.

Farmleigh is managed by the Office of Public Works. The Estate hosts a donkey sanctuary, horses and is home to a herd of Kerry Black cows. The knowledgeable guides showed us around on a tour of Farmleigh House taking us from the eighteenth century, when building commenced, right up to the present day.

Adult Education Classes Sept – Nov 2024

Ozanam House Adult Education courses provide the North Inner City Dublin community with the opportunity to return to education.

Here is the latest update on our Adult Education Classes and start dates and times. Classes will start on the week starting 23rd of September unless otherwise indicated.

Available Classes include:

  • Tai Chi
  • Yoga
  • Computers
  • Sewing
  • Cookery
  • Line Dancing
  • Mobile Technology
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Guitar (New)
  • Piano (New)

In general, courses are 10 weeks in duration.
