On Friday, 10th March, the Active Retirement Group spent the morning in Baldonnell Aerodrome – this is the headquarters and sole airfield of the Irish Air Corps and it is also used for other government purposes.
We had a very interesting tour of the facilities, the hangars and the Air Corps museum. We then adjourned to An Poitin Stil for a very welcome cuppa and a tasty roast chicken lunch.
