Sarah and Joe

Sarah is a legal executive at McCann FitzGerald. Her hobbies are practising yoga and walking her dogs! She has danced before doing classes in ballet and contemporary dance and has even tried her hand at teaching both.

Joe is a solicitor at McCann FitzGerald. During his free time he plays soccer and he has also been known to do some  power-lifting….way to go Joe! His dance experience comes down to the odd wedding,  the work Christmas party and some serious moves at Coppers at 3 am!Sarah and Joe 2

Sally and Conor

Sally and Conor are both trainee solicitors at McCann FitzGerald. Their hobbies are cricket and going out to Coppers.

Conor was involved in a musical youth society in Tipperary. He was caught on camera doing the “gangnam style” dance on a boat in Carrick-on-Shannon. We await the you tube clip!

Sally used to do street dancing when she was in school. She used to charge the boys in her primary school class £1, and would teach them how to street dance in her garage.

Lauren is a technology analyst for Accenture. She has been a tap dancer since she was 3 and has always wanted to learn ballroom dancing.

James is the founder of his own company Visilit. He is a drummer in a band so they’re hoping he has natural rhythm!

Fiona and Dave

Fiona has been a volunteer in Ozanam House with various youth groups for the last 3 years. She is a primary school teacher. She spends her free time volunteering at Ozanam House and running and minding her puppy Cujo. She was described as “an uncoordinated heifer” by her Ballet teacher when she was 7….We’re sure she was wrong Fiona!

Dave works as a Pensions Administrator and he heard about Ozanam House through Fiona. His hobbies are playing soccer, reading, watching TV, eating… He doesn’t really have any dance experience except for one year of ballet when he was a kid! Well…only one that he is willing to admit anyway!

What are your expectations about the show and about the dancing lessons?

“We want to be able to dance together without breaking limbs or causing concussion! To be super-nervous! Not to be asked too many questions by you about how we are getting on during practice and to raise loads of money for an awesome summer project 2014”!

How was your first dance practice? What are your first impressions?

“Shocking, scary and embarrassing were our first impressions”. Fiona said: “it also confirmed for me the words of my ballet teacher! We didn’t realise our co-ordination was so bad! Everyone seems really nice though. Our dance teacher June is great and so encouraging”!
