Mens Group Recent Activities

The Men’s Group have been busy with a trip to the cinema a few weeks ago to see ‘North Circular’ – musical odyssey traveling the length of Dublin’s North Circular Road, from the Phoenix Park to Dublin Port, exploring the history, music and residents of this richly storied street.

Cooking for Freedom

Cooking for Freedom are a group of refugees in Direct Provision hostels in Ireland. They want to cook for themselves and their families, but currently can only eat the canteen food provided by the hostels. Sometimes for years at a time. Cooking and eating together gives them a real focus in their lives.

With access to two kitchens on an occasional basis they still need to fundraise to buy ingredients.

Mens Group 2022 Pool Competition Final

After a few delays, last year’s Pool competition was completed. Joe took the title after a tense first frame which Christy unluckily lost by potting the white with the black on the final ball and Joe comfortably taking the 2nd frame for the win.
