Staff Day Out/Team Building

Before new term started, we took some time out to visit the 14 Henrietta St. Museum and learned about the varied history of early Georgian Dublin in all its magnificence and how later the street became home to the infamous, overcrowded and grim tenements which blighted much of Dublin for around 2 centuries.

More about the 14 Henrietta Street Museum: https://14henriettastreet.ie

Afterwards, had a bite to eat at krewe restaurant on the recently pedestrianised Capel St.

A grim room which would have housed a whole family
A typical but basic meal
The more fortunate had some basic toys and prams
The very fortunate(!) staff outside Henrietta St

We are a community project operated by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, based on Mountjoy Square in Dublin’s North Inner City. We provide members of the local community with a vital stepping-stone to learning and development, safety and encouragement.

We have developed a wide range of programmes aimed at addressing the many needs of the community. We cater for over 500 members, who access 600 programme places each week.
Our community members range in their ages, from two years old to well into their nineties!
