The Active Retirement Group and the Mens group had their Christmas Party on Friday last. They enjoyed a good Christmas meal, exchanged presents and had a good dance with many tunes on offer and including a performance from our local Elvis impersonator.

The ARG started Drama Classes. A huge thank you to Margaret Bergin from Garbo productions for facilitating a wonderful series of drama classes for our Active Retirement Group this month, our members are absolutely loving them.

Our annual Remembrance Mass is on the 25th of November where we gave thanks to God for the lives of all of our departed loved ones.

Last Wednesday, the ARG took a trip to the world class Chester Beatty Library to view the fantastic exhibitions there including: the Asian Collection of artefacts, manuscripts, the Emperor’s Robe and many more exotic, fascinating and wonderful items.
Afterwards, the group relaxed at the Library’s Silk Road Café for a cuppa and bite to eat.

Support Coordinator Anne Nolan from Alone will be visiting Ozanam House to give a talk to our Active Retirement Group on the services they offer, rights of the elderly and other supports and topics of interest.
