The Men’s Group have been busy with a trip to the cinema a few weeks ago to see ‘North Circular’ – musical odyssey traveling the length of Dublin’s North Circular Road, from the Phoenix Park to Dublin Port, exploring the history, music and residents of this richly storied street.

More recently, the men tucked into a load of pancakes for Pancake/Shrove Tuesday. Yum!

This week they also took a trip to the National Museum and had a look at the archaeology and other artefacts on display. Afterwards, they enjoyed a bite to eat at the Chez Max Café.

One of the most important roles in the ongoing development of Ozanam House is that of the Centre and Programme Administrator. The Administrator plays a central role in the day to day running of the Centre. The post holder will manage front of house and oversee and support the reception and admin support team in the Centre. The post holder will also have responsibility for maintaining effective and efficient office systems including general administration and finance. Additionally, the post holder will have responsibility for the administration of the Community Adult Education Programme while also offering admin support to all programmes and courses that run in the Centre as well as managing the recruitment, training and support for the volunteers who engage on these programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced youth worker to take on the role of Youth Work Co-Ordinator in Ozanam House, to implement our organisational aims and objective to provide a comprehensive and inclusive youth service to young people in Ozanam House. Working directly with older young people and supporting volunteers to run a young person’s activity programme, the Youth Work Co-Ordinator will oversee and coordinate all aspects of youth programmes in Ozanam House and continue to develop quality youth programmes to meet the needs and interests of young people from our community. In doing so, they will oversee all aspects of all youth services in Ozanam House.

The SYS groups took in a few activities recently including a walk around Bray beach and up to Bray Head, a trip to Jump Zone in Sandyford and having a competition cooking up lasanga and baking cookies.
