Ozanam Come Dancing 2022 – Moninne and Conor

Moninne
Moninne is a Pharmacist working for Children’s Health Ireland. She heard about the great work of Ozanam House through her husband Conor, whose colleague Niamh works in the centre. Moninne’s dancing experience largely involves strutting her stuff at the odd nightclub back in the day, and enthusiastic participation in Line Dancing lessons in the Noughties. She is looking forward to expanding her repertoire and raising a few quid for this great cause in the process!

Conor
Conor is a Teacher in Mount Temple Comprehensive School on the Malahide Road. Up to this point, his only dancing dream was to waltz through the Shamrock Rovers defence at Dalymount. He’s had plenty of dancing nightmares, including falling over in front of his classmates during Irish Dancing lessons in primary school. With the help of his lovely wife, Moninne, he hopes to leave such devastating trauma behind him on the night!

Ozanam Come Dancing 2022 – Sandra and Noel

Hi, my name is Sandra and together with my husband Noel we are delighted to take part in OCD for Saint Vincent de Paul. We heard about the Centre through a friend of ours who has been teaching the dance routines for OCD for the last few years. I have dance experience as I danced Ballroom & Latin Dance from a young age, and myself and my husband have taken part in other Strictly Come Dancing fundraisers for other local charities. Having visited the Centre and seen the amazing work they do for every age group, we are delighted to raise much needed funds for them.  Here’s to a fantastic night!

Ozanam Come Dancing 2022 – Adam and Ekka

Ozanam Come Dancing would like to introduce Adam and Ekka (sponsored by Dance World) who will be competing in Ozanam Come Dancing taking place on 18th November in Liberty Hall.

Hi, we are Adam and Ekka. We’ve been living in Dublin 1 for the last 12 years and are enthusiastic supporters of Ozanam House. Our kids love attending the youth services in the Centre and have done Sports, Guitar, Piano and Summer Camps with the amazing staff of Ozanam House.

We’ve both grown up in Israel, attended the same high school and married shortly after graduating. We lived in China and London and love travelling with our kids. Adam trained as a Pastry Chef, but changed careers a few years ago and works as a Product Support Manager for Google and Ekka is an Interior Designer by education and volunteered with a local charity shop and local organisations.

Our dancing experience is squeaky to say the least. We’ve danced a choreographed dance at our wedding, but that was many years ago. And on the few dance classes we took we mostly ended up stepping on each other’s toes. Nonetheless, we are super excited to take part in this project and hope to raise plenty of funds for Ozanam House and the great activities that it holds.
