“Fiona and Dave! They probably have been practicing for hours at home…! They are the dark horses of the competition!”

If you could have one dance with anybody you liked in the whole wide world who would it be and what dance would you like to dance to?

Ann: “Al Pacino, he knows how to tango!”

Gary: “Yeah I’d settle for Al Pacino too…might learn a step or two!”

How are you feeling? How do you think you will do on the night?

“We feel unprepared so far! Hope the nerves won’t get us on show night!”

What do you think of the other competitors?

“We can’t sat much, they’ll know we’ve been spying…but we can say, it’ll be close”

Who do you think you have to watch out for? Who do you think is the best dancer from your fellow contestants?

“Everybody’s looking good but we should say the other McCann FitzGerald couples…No pressures guys!!!”

If you could have one dance with anybody you liked in the whole wide world who would it be and what dance would you like to dance to?

“Sarah would like to duet with Fred Astaire, she is a ‘Rogers’!”

“Joe would like a dance with Shakira, because her hips don’t lie and neither does his!!”

How are you feeling? How do you think you will do on the night?

Dave: “Quietly confident we will win on the night”

Fiona:” Scared…!! I will probably be petrified on the night.”

What do you think of the other competitors?

Dave: “Not a lot- there’s been a lot of boosting, but we’ll see who gets the last laugh!”

Fiona: “Everyone is talented and lovely”

Who do you think you have to watch out for? Who do you think is the best dancer from your fellow contestants?

“Gary and Ann are definitely the pair to watch, with 15 years tap, jazz and contemporary experience between them they are pure grace and skill on the dance floor!”

If you could have one dance with anybody you liked in the whole wide world who would it be and what dance would you like to dance to?

“A peaceful waltz with Gandhi or Hammer time with MC Hammer!”

How are you feeling? How do you think you will do on the night?

Leah: “I am feeling pretty confident and well rested if I’m honest, I think we are going to do great, we are both naturals so haven’t really had to rehearse at all!! :-P”

Shane: “I’m hungry.  As long as I’m fed I’m sure I’ll be fine.”

What do you think of the other competitors?

Leah: “I really don’t think much of them…. I haven’t engaged much in conversation because I don’t like to get attached!! I like to keep that competitive edge!! You have to admire their bravery though, competing against myself and Shane must be very daunting. I think it’s wonderful though that they are making the effort and offering up their spare time for such a great cause.”

Shane: “Some lovely looking ladies! Haven’t noticed the lads.”

Who do you think you have to watch out for? Who do you think is the best dancer from your fellow contestants?

Leah: “I think I’m going to have to watch out for the edge of the stage!!!

As I said earlier I haven’t really engaged much with the other dancers but at a push I would say Ann and Garry are our closest competition! “

Shane: “I think everyone seems to be working really hard and progressing.  There are dark horses all over the place.  Hard to know who is the best at the moment, but from what I see, Gary and Ann seem well placed.”

If you could have one dance with anybody you liked in the whole wide world who would it be and what dance would you like to dance to?

Leah: “Wow! So many! Miranda Hart…. It would have to be a gallop to the theme tune of The Lone Ranger or Patrick Swayze…. Obviously!!! “Nobody puts Leah in the corner”!!!! Or even the cast of High School Musical: “We’re all in this together””

Shane: “Eva Mendes,…to anything Latin.”

How are you feeling? How do you think you will do on the night?

“Nervous! But we’re both really enjoying rehearsals and working hard to get better at the routine. We’ll have to wait and see how we do on the night, fingers crossed it goes well!”

What do you think of the other competitors?

“The other competitors are great! All their routines look brilliant, I’m not going to lie it’s a bit intimidating! It should definitely make for a really exciting show!”

Who do you think you have to watch out for? Who do you think is the best dancer from your fellow contestants?

“That’s a really tough question because the dances are all so different. Sally and Conor are great dancers and look like they’re really enjoying the dance. The Paso Doble looks amazing though as well, it’s a really cool dance!” 

If you could have one dance with anybody you liked in the whole wide world, who would it be and what dance would you like to dance to?

Lauren: “Gene Kelly. I’ve done tap dancing since I was little and Singing in the Rain was always my favourite movie. If I could dance with anyone, it would be to have a chance to learn from the master! I think we’d dance to Happy by Pharrell Williams to shake it up a bit. Either him or Channing Tatum… for the Step Up lifts! “

James: “Ah here, I like it the way it is now…”

How are you feeling? How do you think you will do on the night?

Alma: “The jury is out on that”

Jim: “Slightly apprehensive. Nerves are kicking in but on the night we will come first of course! Seriously though, we will be happy to complete our dance with no hiccups.”

What do you think of the other competitors?

Alma: “Gawd knows, we haven’t all danced at the same time, YET, all shall be revealed next week how utterly terrible we all are… lol”

Jim: “They’re a great bunch and like ourselves they’re putting in maximum effort and I wish them the best of luck on the night.”

Who do you think you have to watch out for? Who do you think is the best dancer from your fellow contestants?

Alma: “Sally and Conor, Sally’s sparkly outfit alone will win.  They are really good”

Jim: “Sally and Connor are looking very good although I have not yet seen everyone perform so I can’t say yet.”

If you could have one dance with anybody you liked in the whole wide world who would it be and what dance would you like to dance to?

Alma: “Daniel Craig as Bond 🙂 . Sorry Jim you can’t beat bond boy.”

Jim: “If I had the energy I would love to do a routine with Beyonce (dream on)”

“We are going to dance the Paso Doble to a song by Muse, ‘Supermassive Black Hole’”

What three words would you say best describe your dance?

“Bullish, Matador-like and Red-cape-esque “

How are you getting on with it?  Have you surprised yourself?

“So far so good, still waiting to be surprised though!!!”

What dance have you chosen for the show? What music will you dance to?

“We are dancing the Quickstep to ‘Valerie’ by Amy Winehouse and Mark Ronson .”

What three words would you say best describe your dance?

Dave: “Quick, fun, challenging”

Fiona:” Tricky, cute, quick”

How are you getting on with it?  Have you surprised yourself?

Fiona:” It’s not easy but we’re having great fun! I was hoping one of us might have a hidden dance talent – we don’t.”

Dave: “Getting there but need more practice. I’ve surprised myself with my lack of coordination.”

What dance have you chosen for the show? What music will you dance to?

‘We have chosen to do “The Samba” although I’m not exactly sure if we had much of a choice because most of the other dances were already taken.

We want to dance to “Hey Mama” by The Black Eyed Peas’ but it is still under debate with our teacher….. (I think we’re winning!!)’

What three words would you say best describe your dance?

Leah: “Fast, Fast, Fast”

Shane: “Frenzied, Beautiful, Octopus-like”

How are you getting on with it?  Have you surprised yourself?

Leah: “It’s going ok. Wearing heels while dancing sober is proving to be a challenge!!! “

Shane: “Brilliantly.  No not at all surprised, we both always knew we were brilliant.”

“The Tango, the music we are going to dance to is La Viguela by Gotan Project”

“A…. little….. difficult”

Ann: “I feel a bit scared…”

Gary: “Surprised I haven’t stepped on Ann’s toes as much as I thought I would…The last three weeks have just flown by”
